Carolina Crisp Peanut Bar

This is the one that started it all! In October 2007 Lee Swinson learned that the Mt. Olive Candy Company was for sale. He went that night to talk to the owner, Mr. Eddins. After learning the unique way that Mr. Eddins had been making this candy for over 30 years, Lee knew that this was how he was going to add value to his peanut crop. Mr. Eddins had been making three different candy bars for over 30 years in a small building on the outside of Mt. Olive. One was the Crisp Bar, the other was a Creamy Peanut Bar. This candy was distributed locally to hardware stores and convenience stores. Golden Grove Candy still uses the same recipe and technique to make these very delicious, full flavored peanut bars. We changed the wrapper design to increase shelf life and to help preserve the rich flavor inside every one of our Carolina Crisp Peanut Bars.

Peanut Brittle

Our Peanut Brittle is made with our largest peanuts that are slow roasted before we mix it in with the candy. This allows the peanuts to give off their rich flavor and aroma that makes the Virginia/Carolina style peanut so famous. This item is currently only available for corporate gifts.

Salted In-Shell Peanuts

Our newest product! For years Lee & Vic have wanted to do the Salted In-Shell peanuts. After a lot of research they finally figured out a way to do it in a cost effective way that yielded a deliciously salty peanut. Warning: You can’t eat just one!
